Watchman Nee became a Christian in mainland China in 1920 at the age of seventeen and began writing in the same year. His plain yet profound teachings span the breadth of the Bible. Unfolding the Word of God rightly and straightly from Genesis through Revelation, his teaching possesses a freshness and vitality that incites a believer's love for Christ and brings deeper meaning to the Christian life and message. Throughout the nearly thirty years of his ministry, his messages were centered on Christ and His Body, the church. In 1952 he was imprisoned for his faith by the communist government, where he remained until his death in 1972.
